Its the journey AND the destination.

We all go through challenges on a daily basis. Some are fairly simple to overcome, yet some can leave you completely overwhelmed. Relationships are one of the biggest challenges we will face throughout our lives. But what does it take to make a long distance relationship work? I have been in this kind of relatiosnhip for a little over 3 years now, and even though sometimes it has been a little trying for us both, I would NOT change a single thing...(other than being closer of course).
The reason for this blog is not to be a guide or anything of the sort. Its a dedication to a love that has left me breathless more times than I can count. Yeah yeah, I know what you're thinking...another romance blah blah. But for those of you who have been lucky enough to have found their 'true love' you will understand why I am doing this. I spend hours, almost daily, trying to think of new ways to show my love to the most beautiful woman in the world... Laura.
The way we met is not all that important for the purpose of this blog, as my main objective is simply to commemorate our journey together.
I live in Australia (for now), while Laura resides in the United States. So as Im sure you can understand, spending time together is without a doubt our biggest challenge. But in saying that, we have been very fortunate in being able to share many moments together. I have travelled to the States a number of times, and Laura has been able to visit me here in Oz.
I guess another thing that we have both been very fortunate with, is that our families not only accept our relationship, but support it wholeheartedly. Without this support from family AND friends, our journey would most certainly have been a little tougher. So thank you to all that have helped in some way, you know who you are. XXX
OK.. I am going to post some photos of our many travels together. Most of these are from trips throughout the United States, but there are many from Laura's visit here to Australia too. I am also going to post little updates as I go about our plans to be together, and our plans to marry.
